Nov 5, 2022 · Hi FFXIV Technical Support Team, I need assistance/help to solve this issue. I was able to patch the game earlier about 30 minutes ago and quited the launcher via Steam. .

All expansion codes issued by Steam (Heavensward, Stormblood and Shadowbringers) are global, so can be added to any region account. Pre-ordering the NA Shadowbringers from the Canadian Steam site for your EU account should not be an issue. So base game needs to be the same region. Expansions are region free on steam.This isn't a problem with you (or us), it's a problem with SE and Steam, they need to fix it. Sadly all you can do is just keep retrying and it'll work when it works. Anything else you do like restarting was just a coincidence and it would have worked if you waited the exact same time it took to restart and try again.
