My feeling is that the 2 programs are completely different... here are my thoughts: PGSP-Stanford: academic nature, research opportunities, presigious name of Stanford, well-known faculty (but I'm concerned about how accessible the faculty will be... i.e. can you knock on a professors door and discuss issues you may have).
