Safe Ride offers undergraduate students safe and reliable transportation between River Campus properties and residence halls. The 15-passenger van operates after shuttle hours and can usually arrive within minutes. Safe Ride runs from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. every day during the academic year (does not run during breaks or University holidays). Ride shuttles for satellite locations say “Safe Ride” on the side, and drivers wear shirts printed with the APD logo and “App State Safe Ride.” Hours and Availability The service is offered during the fall and spring semesters and is available from 9:45 p.m. - 2:45 a.m., seven days a week, excluding university holidays and both summer sessions.The UPC program operates from 6:00pm – 2:00am, daily. During these hours, you can take a free Lyft Shared ride inside the USC Lyft Rides Program boundary. The HSC program operates from 5:00pm – 2:00am, Monday through Friday only. The HSC program enables you to receive free rides within the boundary, and to/from HSC and Union Station.
