The oil I use in my car claims it can go 10,000 miles. When I bought the car, and in the manual, 3,000 miles is the change interval. I sort of split the difference. I go about 5,000 miles or so. If I can divide the number of miles by 5, time to change. I just can't force myself to go 10,000 miles.
