Jeep wrangler p0300
I get code p0300, random cylinder misfire, and sometimes one or more codes to a specific cylinder (P030X). There are no symptoms - no engine running rough, doesn't die, etc. I can't reliably reproduce the code after blowing it out with the reader, but so far it seems off-roading or bumpy roads (vibration) will set it off. Their suggestion is to do a 'tune up' with new plugs and wires (yes, I told him it doesn't have plug wires) for about $400. The plugs are only $85 if I buy locally. He said it's about 2.5hrs labor. Even at $100 per hour it doesn't come up to $400 total.
