For anyone who is still trying to get gesture of the drowned, you can do it with the artificer with ion surge, artifact of command, and the primordial cube. Gesture of the Drowned + Spinel Tonic is a much better strategy because those debuffs don't work when you're under the effects of the tonic and if you can get it to constant uptime then you become a monster.
