DR advertising claims it's their biggest model, capable of managing 5 1/2" (although I know that's always oversold by all chippers). I'd be using it around the farm to clear some brush and make some wood chips for paths, etc.The big machines are fast and good but I use all the wood over and inch or so thick for firewood. The DR 18hp is the perfect solution for my needs. I have to really think about watching the discharge chute. I am better at it now and have not had a jam since the first day.
