This beautiful set is clearly marked "Crown Trifari" as I hope you can see in pictures 4 and 5! This set was designed for Trifari by Alfred Philippe and manufactured in 1953. The modified heart shaped golden brooch is 2 1/16" long, 1 5/8" wide and the earrings are 1" long, 3/4" at their widest point.Stamped on the back `Trifari` with a crown above the T, `sterling` and `Des Pat No 137542`. Included is a photo of the original 1944 patent submitted by Alfred Philippe whose crown designs were so popular Trifari incorporated a crown into it`s mark in the 1940`s. Very good vintage condition with age related rubbing to the vermeil.
