The randomness for a random gen map is determined by it's seed name which for 7d2d is the actual name of the save itself. If you delete the file and then use the same name again, you will get the same map again, assuming you have not touched the rwgmixer.xml in anyway. It should be the same map in creative as it is in survival mode.
Posted October 28, 2019. It's possible to edit the xml to allow making 16k maps IIRC. You can also use Nitrogen. I found Nitrogen was more efficent at making an 8k map than the built-in generator.
